Michael(Traceur) Knight played by Justin Bruening And they introduce him as an Ex Army Ranger who’s father left him when he was a young kid. Michael Traceur is the son of Michael Knight. KR08 wasn’t a rewriting of the same tail, This one takes place in modern times. I mean like Come one NBC, You have Peter Cullen(Optimus Prime) play the voice of KARR, THEN HAVE CAR TRANSFORM! Seriously NBC? way to kill a good show. KR08 was a really good reboot until David Solomon turned into FORD’s Transformers. He was in three episodes before Michael and KITT destroyed him. KARR(Knight Autonomous Roaming Robot) was KITT’s evil older brother. With every show there has to be a evil brother and KRO was no different, AND I ONLY WATCHED THE SHOW FOR THE CAR! not the ladies in really skimpy 80’s clothes… KITT was a Pontiac Trans-Am, Highly Modified, to look more badass.Īnd Michael Knight was played by ‘The Hoff’ (shudder). Michael work for, You guessed it, Knight Industries, and their never ending mission for justice. The KRO was a TV show about a super advanced car(KITT, meaning Knight Industries Two Thousand) and his driver, Michael Knight. Since I’m on a KR kick again, I will explain it the best I can. “I have no idea what that show is.” Sadly, my friends, that has been said to me once today. AND It also had much better writing (unlike this post you’re reading now) than the original TV show(I can sense a flame war coming on because of that). When I saw the movie, pilot, thing, I was ‘shocked’ it was the best CGI I’ve seen next to ‘Transformers’. When I heard of the NBC reboot I had two thoughts in my head: “Are they going to re-use the Trans Am?” And “I hope they don’t do ‘the girl of the week ‘ BS they tried with the last year(s) of KR” KR was one of my favorite shows on ‘TV Land’ when I was growing up in the late 90’s. But, I got my hands on the 2008 Knight Rider film/TV show pilot by NBC. It took me a good year to find it, and it might have been illegal when did find it. WARNING: This contains Spoilers if you haven’t Seen either shows I wouldn’t read this if you don’t like me to lay it down as it is. Long story short: they better had spent less money on the effects and more money on decent writings and talented actors.Okay First before I let you read this I want to let you know THIS IS BASED ON MY OPINION if you don’t see things my way. Normally I do not complain about such things, but here it's embarrassingly obvious at times. Different size, different body mass, different colour of hair, different hairdo. In some fist fighting scenes, the stand-ins didn't even look like the original actors. On the contrary even, they are too often a way to show off with the CGI capabilities. Alas most of the time, they do not add to the story. The special effects are really well done. The acting is most of the time either overacted, or on the contrary missing livelihood in mimics and body language. The stories are rather flat and chaotic and even quite repetitive to some lengths. I watched several episodes, as I want to give it several chances, but it does not really seem to get better. Then the more important things: The stories. Normally I like remakes with a bit of a rock twitch, but this one? Rather disappointing. The voice of KITT is rather boring and toneless. After watching KITT for a while, it turns out he can even transform in three forms, which is quite senseless and most of the time it does not even make sense. I mean, discarding the stylish Trans Am for a mere Mustang? Just doesn't do the job. First of all, I was rather disappointed about the car.
